Cottage Cheese Pancakes

I was searching for photos of pancakes on Flickr, just for fun. I like to see what other people eat.
And then, I came across this photo that inspired me. Cottage cheese pancakes… Sounded so good I just had to have it.
After a little googling I decided to use this recipe.

I served it with fresh strawberries and maple syrup. They were perfect. Yummy!

Fresh pasta with shitake mushrooms, garlic, cream and grilled asparagus
Boil the fresh pasta according to instructions.Meanwhile put 2 frying pans with olive oil:
In one put the asparagus do grill;
In the other the chopped mushrooms and 2 chopped cloves of garlic. When the mushrooms start to cook put in the cream and let it thicken.
Season the mushroom sauce with black pepper and salt.

Turn the asparagus to grill in the other side.
After they are grilled squeeze half a lemon in the pan and sprinkle with sea salt.

Serve in hot plates.

Great idea using glass pebbles.

Not Martha has a great tutorial to make magnets out of little glass pebbles.
You can buy these pebbles in any decoration shop. It’s usually to use with floating candles or vases of flowers.

Flat back glass marbles
I printed a sheet of matte photo paper with the pictures that I wanted, already reduced to the general side of the pebbles.
Magnets on the making.
Then I cutted the pictures and glued them to the pebbles with silicon glue. All the imperfections on the back of the glass disappeared. Some I used to make magnets, some to make brooches. I know of someone that made hair clips with it. You can make what ever you want!

My Green Kerchief

Posted under crafts, crochet - Jul 12th, 06 - No Comments

I found a great pattern for a lovely kerchief, designed by Janelle Schlossman.
I used a 3,5 (E) crochet hook and green cotton thread.

Kerchief
I think it’s perfect!

The pattern starts in the tip of the kerchief, not in the base. This might be confusing for novices but it’s quite easy to make.
